DMV Change Address

If you want to do a DMV Change Address then as I wrote before you will need to complete this at least 3 days before you renew the vehicle licence. See helow how this is done as this is the easiest way for me to explain it to you. Likewise I wrote a number of articles on what can be done at the DMV in California.

DMV Change Address

The notice outlines the process for updating a change of address with the DMV, emphasizing the necessity of separate forms for each driver or vehicle owner. It provides a structured form with sections for personal or business information, previous and new addresses, mailing address, voter registration details, and vehicle information.

Likewise the form requires specific details such as license/ID card numbers, birth dates, street addresses, and vehicle identification information. Additionally, it includes voter registration questions for US citizens, allowing them to select party preferences, opt for mail-in ballots, and choose their preferred language for election materials. The notice stresses the importance of accurate information and compliance with voter registration requirements.

Informing them about a change of address is quick and doesn’t cost a thing! Just follow these simple steps:

Online: Fill out the Change of Address (DMV 14) form online.

By mail: Download the DMV 14 form or request it by calling 1-800-777-0133. Once you have it, fill it out and send it to the address listed on the form.

In person: Head to any DMV office, complete the DMV 14 form, and hand it over to a representative. They’ll take care of submitting it to DMV headquarters for processing.

Remember, California law states that you must notify the DMV within 10 days of changing your address.
